Mission

As a software engineer in the Operations Support System (OSS) environment, your tasks include the integration of OSS applications into the customer's environment and the implementation of customer-specific requirements.  You will support the team in the development of customer-specific interfaces and workflows and prepare the integration and acceptance of the overall solution at the customer. You will work closely with the architects, project managers and the international OSS team and maintain direct contact with the customer.

Tasks

  • Participation in projects in the area of OSS as a software engineer
  • Elaboration of specifications for system integration
  • Development of customer-specific interfaces, workflows and processes
  • Integration and acceptance of the solution at the customer's site
  • Support of incident and problem management

Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of computer science
  • Experience in the field of software integration and/or software development
  • Experienced in dealing with customers, suppliers, project managers and employees
  • Independent, goal-oriented, precise work, fast comprehension skills
  • You are solution-oriented and always willing to learn new things
  • Language skills: German and English
  • Advantageous is knowledge of:
    • Telecom and data networks
    • OSS applications (e.g. IBM Tivoli Netcool, Infosim StableNet, FNT Command, Splunk, ServiceNow)
    • Software development (Java and scripting languages)
    • UNIX systems (Linux)
    • Methods such as HERMES, ITIL, etc.
