Patrick Destremau joins Inetum as Executive Vice President, General Manager Defence & Security

Patrick Destremau has made his mark as a recognized expert in the steering of complex projects and the organizational transformation of public administrations over more than 20 years. He now joins Inetum (formerly Gfi), the European leader in digital services and solutions. With this appointment, the IT services company will be reinforcing its expertise in the Defence and Security sectors, as well as its relations with public stakeholders in line with its strategic plan UPSCALE23.

Expert in Security and Defence

Coming from the Defence sector where he served in the top echelons after qualifying as an engineer at École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr as well as École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (Télécom Paris), Patrick Destremau now joins Inetum, where he will bring his expertise to the fields of organizational transformation and digitization and develop new digital services and solutions for Defence and Security, both in the public and private sectors.

As a Lieutenant-General in the armed forces and immediate deputy to the Chief of Defense Staff, Patrick Destremau was the Deputy Director for Performance, in charge of the performance of all armed forces. After two decades in operational commands in the French Marines, he joined the Defense Staff to conduct strategic transformation programmes such as the optimization of the support services. In the last three years of his military career, he was the Director of the prestigious Hautes Études de Défense Nationale (IHEDN), reporting to the Prime Minister. His knowledge of the public sector and Defence industry, his expertise in overseeing large-scale transformation programmes, and his experience in business digitalization are assets that will undeniably contribute to the strategic development of the Inetum group.
