Whitelane Research, independent organization focused on IT sourcing in Europe, released its new Belux sourcing study 2024. Specifically, Whitelane surveyed around 300 BeLux organizations with significant IT spend, on various aspects of their IT sourcing. Clients of the different IT suppliers in the Belux gave satisfaction scores to 35 different IT suppliers, for the work they did in 2023.

Inetum was present in all categories, making them a unique player in the Belgian market. They also received the third most reviews from customers, showing their wide presence in the larger companies.

Jef Loos, Head of Research Europe at Whitelane said, "Inetum scores strongly overall. The company puts up strong to very strong performances in almost all IT services domains."

An independent study of how large IT customers evaluate their IT suppliers

In the area of Cloud & Infrastructure services, Inetum perpetuated its second place from last year, albeit with a higher score. Cloud & infrastructure services include day-to-day maintenance activities; data center integration and support; managed infrastructure and IaaS/PaaS services. Inetum leads the "strong performers" in this category.

In terms of Network & Connectivity services, Inetum's customers also put them among the strong performers. Immediately a strong performance according to Whitelane. In fact, Inetum is ranked in this category for the first time, so that's a nice entry.

In terms of Security Services, Inetum is doing better than last year, both in ranking (second place) and in scoring. Inetum is proud of this result because it has been making stronger efforts in this domain for several years. In the Workplace category, Inetum also achieved strong results, confirming its continuous commitment to quality and the customer experience.

Jo Leemans, Director Technologies at Inetum in Belgium: "We are among the strong performers for the second year in a row. We already scored strongly last year on Technology Services, and even better this year. The vision of the Inetum group is strongly focused on Application Services and Digital Transformation, which will also lead to (even) more investments in our country and thus further strengthening in that area. In addition we work closely with our international colleagues, which is a plus for our customers with foreign branches. Finally, outsourcing is a strategic offering for us. Here we establish strategic partnerships with companies, often spanning decades, building a close relationship with local employees, supplemented by nearshore specialists."

The importance of AI, and how many large organizations are already concretely working on it

Another area that Inetum is investing heavily in is AI and Generative AI. Whitelane also surveyed the 300 IT end customers about how far along they are with this.

9% say they are using AI with significant impact on business processes. 36% are using AI with limited impact on business processes. 21% are experimenting with AI but not really using it yet. 28% are not yet concretely using it or do not know.

"At Inetum, we see artificial intelligence as more than a technology. AI has the potential to transform an organization in terms of innovation, for process optimization, and for value creation. AI also offers many opportunities for people and for society. Our vision around AI is to integrate it into the operation of organizations to create impact. By driving data-driven decision making, by enabling personalized experiences, and by driving sustainable growth."
