Established in the Great South-West, crossroads of major European gas flows, Teréga has been deploying exceptional know-how for more than 75 years in the development of gas transport and storage infrastructure and today designs innovative solutions. to meet the major energy challenges in France and Europe. A true accelerator of the energy transition, Teréga has more than 5,000 km of pipelines and two underground storage facilities representing respectively 16% of the French gas transmission network and 26% of national storage capacities.

Teréga launched at the end of 2018 a project to switch its IT and application infrastructures to the AWS Cloud with the objectives of providing more capacity, flexibility and agility in the way of developing its application environments and technical infrastructures for its businesses. . This project responds to its “Be Positif” program to support the ecological and digital culture brought about by the energy transition.

Inetum supports Teréga in the execution of its transformation project towards the AWS Cloud :

  • Perform the analysis of the existing to migrate
  • Define the target architecture under AWS and the migration trajectory of 400 servers, with the associated change management
  • Carry out migration operations, including its SAP SI core
  • Validate the proper migration of environments and support the business in the application acceptance
  • Capitalize on migration methods (migration in re-host mode (Lift & Shift), re-platforming or re-architecting depending on the context) to optimize the following ones and adopt a continuous improvement approach
  • Control resource consumption and identify financial optimizations (FinOps), through the evolution of the types of services consumed by developing the use of serverless such as: AWS Backup, Load Balancer, RDS, FSx, Lambda or CloudWatch
  • Support IT teams to build skills on AWS environments and adapt the operations and administration activities of the environments
