Microsoft is implementing an important change in the licensing terms for Teams-based attendant console and contact center solutions, including Tendfor. This change has a direct impact on organizations using such solutions.

Creation date :

As of September 30, 2025, Teams users who receive calls through a bot (such as Tendfor agents or IVRs) must have:

  • A Teams Phone System license
  • Enterprise Voice enabled (activated for calling through Teams)

These requirements do not apply to internal Teams calls or manually transferred calls.

What does this mean for your organization?
If you are using Tendfor or another Teams-based attendant console or contact center solution, it is important to:

  • Identify which users fall under these new requirements
  • Assign the necessary licenses and activate voice-enabled settings
