Description du poste

The Cloud Architect will collaborate closely with the Cloud Pillar Leader, responsible for:

  • Monitoring the portfolio of both internally and externally cloud‑hosted applications and solutions.
  • Driving the move‑to‑cloud migration program that transfers workloads onto company internal cloud platforms.
  • Liaising with business and technology leaders, to drive agendas forward in a fast paced and evolving landscape.
  • The role combines deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong stakeholder‑management to deliver secure, compliant, consistent, and innovative cloud solutions 
  • Define & design cloud‑architecture solutions that align with clients objectives, security, regulatory requirements, and the overall TA technology strategy.
  • Support the Cloud pillar activity – monitor the external SaaS portfolio, assess risk and maturity, and drive the migration roadmap for all in-scope applications.
  • Deliver architectural blueprints, design patterns, and reference frameworks (e.g., Cloud Design Patterns, CI/CD, IaC) for development teams and ensure reuse across projects.
  • Advise development squads/teams on cloud‑native design, API strategy, DevOps practices, data‑analytics, AI/ML integration and open‑source tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Define, enforce, and evolve governance processes – cloud‑security standards, Secure Development Lifecycle (SCA, SAST, DAST), compliance checks and cost‑management policies.
  • Stay up to date on latest trends and evolution on the cloud landscape - cloud services, industry trends and fintech innovations; 
  • Support the validation of emerging technologies and tools and tracking proofs‑of‑concept with internal teams, external fintech partners or vendors.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide rapid, creative resolutions to keep migration programs on schedule.
  • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations to IT and senior business stakeholders (written reports, presentations, governance forums).
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and knowledge‑transfer activities for the Technical Architecture and Cloud teams.
  • Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best‑practice adoption.
  • Participate in cross‑functional committees (API governance, AI ethics fintech partnerships) to influence broader technology road‑maps.
  • Assist in defining service‑level and operational metrics for cloud‑based solutions.                                       

Qualifications

  • Development and Solution Architectures (OOP, OOAD, Data, Middleware, Scalability, Resiliency) - Demonstrated experience in software and systems implementation & design and overall distributed systems architecture.
  • Cloud platforms (one or more of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud) - Minimum 5 years designing, migrating and operating production workloads.
  • Container orchestration & IaC (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Terraform, Ansible) - Hands‑on implementation and architecture.
  • Cloud‑native application design, micro‑services &‑driven architectures - Proven delivery in cloud environments.
  • Secure Development Lifecycle (SCA, SAST, DAST, CSPM) - Experience embedding security tools in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud Design Patterns & reference architectures - Ability to document and reuse patterns across projects.
  • Governance & compliance (e.g. GDPR) - Demonstrated application in previous roles.
  • Strong communication & stakeholder management - Written & verbal fluency for both technical teams and senior management.                   

 

Nice-to-Have Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of IBM Cloud services (IBM Cloud Pak, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud)
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Solution Architect‑Professional, Azure Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, etc.) or demonstration of equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge on OpenStack cloud operating system
  • Exposure to the financial services industry (banking, payments, fintech, capital markets)
  • Awareness around Data Science

 

Language Skills:

  • English – Expert 8read, spoken, written)
  • French – Practice (nice to have)

This mission is to be performed in a hybrid working model, with two days per week at the office, on Lisbon offices.
