Inetum, European leader in digital services and solutions, continues as sponsor of the Lointek Gernika women's basketball team for one more season. With the continuation of this sponsorship, the consulting firm confirms its commitment to sport and its values, as well as its support for the presence of women in all professional fields.  

Jose Echezarra, director of Territories of Inetum in Spain and general director of Inetum Norte, and Gerardo Candina, president of Lointek Gernika Bizkaia have renewed, this morning in the Maloste sports center, the sponsorship agreement, by which the technology company reinforces its commitment to women's sport. The signing ceremony was attended by Rosó Buch, first team referent.

In the last year we have been able to learn first-hand about the efforts of this team and its players to transmit values that we share in the business world and of course make our own at Inetum," said Jose Echezarra, director of Inetum Norte, "such as the solidarity of teamwork; the ambition to achieve challenges and goals that support our growth; the excellence that translates into the quality of our work; the commitment to have a positive impact on society and innovation as an engine of change”. 

For his part, the president of Gernika KESB Gerado Candina thanked the continuous support to the team and highlighted the satisfaction of having the technology consulting Inetum among its main partners: "To continue to have a sponsor of the importance of Inetum and its confidence in our women's basketball project fills us with joy and encourages us to continue moving forward. This agreement is of great value to both of us: it certainly gives us prestige, which we in turn return to Inetum by giving the brand great notoriety through our sporting success.

The popularity of women's basketball is growing every season in Spain, where it is currently the sport with the most women's basketball licenses (more than 138,000). In the Basque Country, women already outnumber men in this sport by a ratio of 60/40. The promotion of women's basketball in Spain is beginning to bear fruit and has an important pool of young players in the different categories.
