City of Bruges chooses Inetum for systems management and cybersecurity in new €92 million consultancy framework agreement
Press Release
Inetum, a leading European player in digital services, is strengthening its partnership with the City of Bruges.
Data de publicação :
Within the consultancy framework agreement, Inetum won two additional lots for systems management and cybersecurity. Together, these lots represent a potential total value of €92 million over a six-year period. City of Bruges acts as a procurement center, not only for cities and municipalities, but also for numerous other public institutions and organizations.
Following the renewal of their collaboration on software license management at the end of last year, City of Bruges again chooses Inetum as its exclusive IT partner for additional assignments within this new framework agreement.
The first lot within the agreement focuses on back-end system infrastructure management. Inetum's consultants provide advice on technical or conceptual questions. For these assignments, Inetum counts on its experts in infrastructure management, multicloud integration, virtualization, and backup solutions. They support public organizations in a variety of technical assignments: from quick interventions in incidents to long-term trajectories such as setting up new IT environments or performing upgrades.
The second lot focuses on cybersecurity and strengthens the digital resilience of public institutions. This is necessary, as Inetum's Threat Landscape Report shows that the public sector is one of the most targeted sectors for cyber-attacks. Inetum's consultants will support public institutions in security architecture, risk assessment and incident response, including ethical hacking and penetration testing. These are controlled attacks on systems or networks to expose vulnerabilities. Inetum also supports them in providing Security Operations Centers (SOCs) services and in deploying Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions. This gives public institutions a better grip on cyber threats, so they recognize and manage them faster.
Digital impact for all
"This double win confirms our commitment to the public sector," said Thomas Breuer, General Manager of Inetum Belgium. "We are proud to have been selected again by the City of Bruges after a rigorous European procedure. Public institutions face increasingly complex IT challenges, from hybrid infrastructure to increasing cyber threats. But with these new consulting projects, we are building on our ambition to make digital impact more accessible, simple and useful for all."
Serge Vandenhoudt, Director Technologies at Inetum Belgium, adds: "This new framework agreement confirms our technological expertise and the added value we offer as a long-term partner. Our experience in tenant migrations, data center management, infrastructure projects and cybersecurity really makes a difference for many public organizations. Thanks to our strategic collaboration with leading technology partners, we deliver solutions that are future-proof and make an impact. This is how we help cities and municipalities to focus on their core tasks."
