Inetum Portugal has officially signed the Portuguese Diversity Charter, an initiative by the European Commission managed by the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI). This initiative promotes recognizing, respecting, and appreciating differences among individuals. Through this, Inetum aims to reinforce its commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace.
By joining the Charter, Inetum strengthens a commitment that is already part of its organizational DNA. The company, which has implemented inclusive practices over the years, reinforces its role in building an increasingly diverse and inclusive technology sector. This organizational culture, based on mutual respect and equal opportunities, is reflected in its recruitment processes, professional development, and career progression for its employees. The signing of the Charter comes at a strategic moment for the Portuguese technology sector, which faces growing challenges in attracting and retaining talent.
Mónica Canário, Project Manager & Diversity Equity and Inclusion Expert at APPDI, emphasizes: “It is important for companies like Inetum to join the Portuguese Diversity Charter, inspiring other organizations within the same sector and beyond. This initiative is based on a commitment that invites employers in Portugal to unite for diversity and inclusion, aiming to create more inclusive and diverse workplaces.”
Pedro Gomes Santos, CEO of Inetum Portugal, states: “At Inetum, we believe that diversity contributes to our success. By signing the Portuguese Diversity Charter, we reinforce our commitment to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected and can contribute their unique talents to the company’s growth. We are excited to be part of this initiative and to work alongside other organizations to promote inclusion in Portugal.”
The Portuguese Diversity Charter is a voluntary instrument aimed at encouraging employers to commit to valuing diversity and inclusion, fostering the implementation and development of relevant internal policies and practices. It addresses areas such as gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, age, and disability, among others.
Founded in 2028, APPDI is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote Diversity and Inclusion within organizations and civil society. With the ambition of becoming a reference in Diversity and Inclusion in Portugal, APPDI has a network of partnerships with over 550 organizations and promotes initiatives such as the Portuguese Diversity Charter.
