After several months of work by a transcontinental team from Inetum (Portugal and Brazil) and EDP – which involved a total of more than 200 people – the project is implemented and in production for more than 2,000 users – 4,000 for registration of point, which happens through a dedicated mobile app. SIMPLIFICA covers the management of various aspects of the business: Human Resources, Finance, Sales, Supplies, Stock, Fixed Assets and Project Management, Maintenance and Quality, BW/HANA (solution used for advanced reports) and guarantees full interoperability with other systems of the company.

Regarding the choice of Inetum for SIMPLIFICA, Filipe Lucas dos Santos, Executive Director of Information Technology (IT) at EDP Brasil during the project period, states: “We have a long-term partnership with Inetum. They have been providing SAP services to EDP for over ten years. Inetum assembled a professional, committed and knowledgeable team to deliver the project. An effective partnership enabled the joint team to collaboratively overcome obstacles and successfully deliver this project.”

“EDP Brasil needed to implement, in a short space of time, a new business management system. The objective was to replace a system that, despite being stable, was already outdated, having been in use for more than 20 years. After 18 months of great commitment, the team launched the EDP Group's first SAP S/4HANA project in Brazil, relying on the best practices in the sector”, explains Pedro Gomes Santos, CEO of Inetum Portugal.

“Strategic, long-standing partnerships like the one we have with SAP allow us to offer a complete portfolio of solutions and services. Our focus is to help companies innovate and adopt technologies that optimize processes, increase productivity, bring more agility and guarantee competitive advantage", adds the manager responsible for Inetum in Brazil.

Inetum aims to be a partner for the digital transformation of public and private companies. The company, which is among the three main IT services players in Brazil, offers services based on innovative technologies, such as GenAI, and strategic and long-term partnerships such as SAP, which has lasted more than two decades.
