Inetum Portugal announces a partnership with the Professional Women’s Network Lisbon (PWN Lisbon), a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of women. This collaboration reinforces the tech giant’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a strong focus on female empowerment in the technology sector.

With a workforce that is 34% female, Inetum aims to strengthen its role in empowering and advancing the professional development of its female talents in management and leadership positions within the company. This initiative is particularly relevant considering that, according to the 2023 “Women in Tech” study published by McKinsey & Company, women make up only 37% of the workforce in tech companies or tech-related industries.

Through this initiative, Inetum Portugal will participate in and benefit from PWN Lisbon’s programs (Neuroliderança, Mentoring, and Youth), as well as its role model initiatives, training sessions, and networking opportunities, fostering a culture of excellence. This partnership will also provide opportunities for Inetum’s female employees to engage with the PWN Lisbon community, accessing valuable resources and expanding their professional networks.

Sandra Mateus, Board Member of PWN Lisbon, stated: “We are very excited about our partnership with Inetum Portugal. It is crucial for us to continue strengthening our network across all sectors, especially in technology, where the workforce remains predominantly male. We believe this collaboration will have a significant impact on Inetum’s female talents and contribute to a more inclusive and diverse tech ecosystem.”

Pedro Gomes Santos, CEO of Inetum Portugal, emphasized: “Diversity and inclusion are essential for innovation and success. Our partnership with PWN Lisbon reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued. Moreover, by supporting the development and empowerment of women in the technology sector, we are helping shape a new generation of leaders, aiming to set an example for other companies in the industry and beyond.”

The partnership between PWN Lisbon and Inetum Portugal will bring benefits to both organizations and the broader technology community. Together, they will work towards a more equitable and inclusive future, breaking barriers and creating new opportunities for women.
