Inetum, a European leader in digital services, has received the ‘Operational Innovation of the Year’ award at the 2025 ERP Today Awards” for its SAP Cloud ERP-based project developed for Erri Berri, a leading Spanish company sepecializing in technical demolition and waste management. This European-level award highlights not only the technology implementation but also the real impact it has had on business operations.
This recognition underscores Inetum’s ability to generate real business impact through technology, combining execution, adoption, and tangible results. In the case of Erri Berri, the jury particularly valued the transformation from an environment based on fragmented systems and manual processes to a fully integrated operational model supported by SAP Cloud ERP. The speed of the project, thanks to the InetumS4 Construction package, along with the ability to standardize processes, improve visibility, and facilitate decision-making, were key elements in positioning it as a benchmark for operational innovation.
The project clearly reflects this evolution. Erri Berri—“demolition without a footprint”—a company specializing in demolition, waste management, and infrastructure maintenance, was experiencing a period of growth during which it needed to upgrade its information systems to meet its management needs. It was a priority to find alternatives to manual tools and spreadsheets in order to optimize critical tasks such as financial control, project management, and future planning.
Given this context, the organization made the strategic decision to adopt a robust, standardized cloud-based system that would enable it to operate more efficiently and prepare the business for the future. “After a thorough market evaluation, we chose SAP for its robustness and best practices, and selected Inetum as our implementation partner. The goal was clear: to adopt a standardized cloud solution that could grow alongside the business,” explains Juan Ignacio Fernández Micheltorano, CFO of Erri Berri.
With Inetum’s support, Erri Berri has adopted SAP Cloud ERP under the GROW Fast framework, successfully integrating financial and project management into a single system, automating processes that were previously performed manually, and gaining a comprehensive, real-time view of its operations, from the bidding phase through to the completion of each project. This transformation has not only improved operational efficiency but has also laid the groundwork for continuous evolution based on data, advanced analytics, and future artificial intelligence capabilities.
This recognition of the Erri Berri project by ERP Today reinforces Inetum’s commitment to developing solutions that truly deliver value to its clients: “We are proud to see a strategic initiative from Inetum receives this international endorsement. And this project is a clear example of our purpose: ensuring that the technology is the right fit for each organization. It’s not just about innovating, but about applying technology in a useful, efficient way that aligns with business objectives, generating a positive and sustainable impact,” explains Manuel García del Valle, CEO of Inetum Iberia Latam.
For her part, Kathy Quashie, EVP and CEO of Inetum Growing Markets, emphasizes that “operational innovation isn’t about breaking with the past, but about building systems that work in the real world. In the case of Erri Berri in Spain, delivering SAP Cloud ERP in 16 weeks and within budget has allowed us to create an integrated operating model; it is proof that discipline in execution and speed can go hand in hand.”
