Inetum, the first technology consultancy firm to offer its own vocational training degree.

The leading company in Europe in digital services has set a milestone in vocational training by becoming the first technology consultancy to offer its own vocational training degree in Catalonia, which began this September at the Francesc Vidal i Barraquer Institute in Tarragona.

This programme is part of the agreement that the technology consultancy firm has reached with the Directorate General of Vocational Training of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya to offer two advanced training cycles adapted to the specific needs of the technology sector: ‘Development of Multiplatform Applications’ and ‘Administration of Networked Computer Systems’. These modules have been designed to provide comprehensive and practical training. Each of them has 30 students, which means a total of 60 students in the first year of the programme, which has already started. For the next academic year, the number is expected to reach 120 students.

With this agreement, Inetum reinforces its commitment to collaboration between the private sector and public education, with a project to close the gap between academic training and the demands of the labour market in the field of technology.

Manuel García del Valle, CEO of Inetum in Iberia & Latam, highlights: ‘We strive to strengthen our collaboration with educational centres, transferring in real time the changes and advances in technology. We seek to bring students closer to the most innovative emerging technologies and the real needs of the labour market’.

In this sense, students will benefit from exclusive masterclasses given by leading manufacturers in the sector. In addition, this module is a direct pathway for the best students, who have the opportunity to be hired as interns in the company. This initiative not only provides valuable work experience, but also opens up the possibility of a career in one of Europe's leading technology consultancies.

Boosting local talent and technological innovation

With more than 830 employees in Catalonia and a headquarters of more than 500 square metres in Tarragona, Inetum once again demonstrates its commitment to the development of local talent and innovation in the technology sector. The company is ready to integrate future graduates into its team, offering a clear path to professional success.

For her part, Susana Prado, CEO of Inetum Catalonia, emphasises the local impact: ‘We support talent in Tarragona, to develop local employment and generate impact. With this programme and the scholarship opportunity for the best students, we are creating a direct bridge between training and employment in the technology sector’.

This pioneering programme benefits both students and Inetum, and also strengthens the technology ecosystem in Catalonia, preparing the next generation of ICT professionals for the challenges of the digital future. The initiative represents a significant step in integrating professional education with the real needs of the labour market, setting a new standard in technology training in Spain.
