This role is responsible for coordinating the development, enhancement, and innovation of IT, AI, GenAI, Data Analytics, and Data Engineering solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with business and customer requirements.
The Delivery Manager is accountable for engaging the appropriate resources to successfully deliver activities across IT, AI, and Data Analytics projects, ensuring quality and cost objectives are met. The role provides end-to-end visibility across the full delivery lifecycle of products and services, overseeing project execution from planning through implementation and delivery.
- Management of the scope, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of scripts, programs, and integrated software solutions, customized according to Enterprise customer requirements in Vodafone local markets and partner markets, using various programming techniques, ensuring that the product is functionally fit and ready for use.
- Coordinates all project phases, from assessment of an initiative (collection of business requirements and proposal of a solution), to implementation and project testing, and finally the transition of the solution to day-to-day operations.
- The role holder ensures that the scope and objectives delivered by the programme/project are aligned with external customer requirements, including budget, time, and performance indicators.
- Creates and monitors the project plan together with all relevant stakeholders, and also validates it with customers and end users; also generates the resource plan for project execution and ensures that the required resources are allocated.
- Together with the delivery teams, working as an IT software and hardware solution provider, assesses project complexity from a technical perspective, implementation duration, and required budget. Evaluates potential alternative solutions at the customer’s request.
- Works with software developers and IT architects to generate technical specifications used in the launch of software products, used as a foundation for international launches of integrated software services and products.
- Coordination of the development of test scenarios and tests for the new software solutions to be delivered to Enterprise customers.
- Coordination of the delivery of software solutions and products to customers, ensuring their quality and compliance with the specific requirements requested by each customer.
- Management of the transition of services/solutions to operations, multiple operational teams, and market implementations, with focus on continuous improvement of service quality.
- Monitors all project activities (design, development, testing, changes, subcontractor deliverables) so that deadlines agreed with customers are not exceeded. Creates/evaluates the risk matrix for ongoing projects.
- Ensures that all IT deliverables (documentation, software, operating manual) meet customer requirements. Ensures that defect analysis is complete and that the necessary resulting actions are tracked and implemented.
- Coordinates project teams to deliver projects, motivates them, develops their capabilities, and helps them plan their personal development.
- Sets objectives and evaluates employees in the team.
- Reports all customer projects on time. Proactively prevents issues and notifies them.
Main deliverables for external customers:
- Project plan required for coordinating resources in order to develop, test, and implement software products and/or services within an agreed timeframe and to an agreed standard.
- Communication plan and RACI matrix with roles and responsibilities within business process transformation projects, covering all six Enterprise portfolios.
- Plans for developing IT systems across all EP&S business areas.
- Quality plan.
- Risk matrix identified before or during projects within the Enterprise portfolios: converged communications, connectivity, IoT, Cloud.
- Progress report for activities and products in development or already implemented.
- Financial reports, including budget definition.
- Reports and documents with the results of operational analyses performed.
- Process flow analyses across all business lines in the Enterprise area.
- Lessons learned document at the end of projects, integrated across all portfolios in the Enterprise area.
