Gfi Group acquires i2S to build a complete end-to-end solution for insurance companies

The Gfi Group has acquired i2S, a software specialist for the insurance market with leading positions in Iberia and Africa, with the objective, together with its Cleva and Cogit suites, to build a complete end-to-end solution for insurance companies.

Founded more than 30 years ago, i2S has consolidated its position as a leading player in the Portuguese, Angolan and Mozambican insurance markets with software implementations across a wide range of other countries and totaling more than 40 insurance companies. i2S has an annual turnover of more than €13 million.

Leveraging on the investments made in recent years and Gfi’s strong international presence, i2S is well positioned to continue developing innovative solutions for its current customer base and to successfully expand its presence in other international markets. Gfi’s ambition is also to couple i2S’ portfolio with Gfi’s Software platforms, Cleva and Cogit, to build a complete value proposition in the global insurance business, both in terms of functional coverage (Life, Pensions and Non-life) and technological reach. Together, Gfi and i2S employ close to 400 highly skilled employees specialized in the insurance software segment.

I2S’ merger with the Gfi Group is part of an operational continuity approach. The teams will remain fully dedicated to the ongoing operations with all clients, maintaining the level of commitment that has forged their reputation.
