Mission

The SAP Security Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of the SAP landscape, supporting the organization in managing user access, roles, and authorizations, while ensuring compliance with internal and external security standards. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to implement, monitor, and optimize SAP security configurations, safeguarding business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • SAP Security Implementation & Administration: Manage and configure security roles and authorizations across SAP systems, ensuring users have the appropriate access levels based on job functions.
  • Access Control Management: Implement and monitor user access controls, ensuring segregation of duties (SoD) and compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Security Audits & Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the SAP system and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with business teams, BASIS administrators, and other stakeholders to provide support on security-related issues, troubleshooting, and optimizing security configurations.
  • Authorization Concept Design: Develop, implement, and maintain SAP authorization concepts, including role design, user provisioning, and user activity monitoring.
  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor the SAP security environment for potential threats, resolving any issues related to user access, performance, or security breaches.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation for all security configurations, changes, and audit logs. Provide regular reports on security status and compliance.

Profile

  • SAP Security Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP security concepts, including user roles, authorizations, and profile management (e.g., PFCG, SU01, SU10).
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Understanding of security best practices, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX), and Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP GRC, SAP HANA, and integration of security solutions in SAP environments.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues in SAP environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP security consulting, with a proven track record of successful SAP security implementations.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Certifications: SAP Security certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Security) is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance).
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA security features.
  • Experience with cloud-based SAP environments (e.g., SAP Cloud Platform).
