Press Release

Release date :

As symbols of excellence in their respective fields, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, one of the world leaders in marine construction, and Inetum, European leader in digital services and solutions, have for the third time renewed their IT outsourcing contract. Confirming the economic vitality of the Atlantic seaboard, the decision illustrates the trust that this industrial giant puts in Inetum, the IT services company that specializes in digital flow.

Inetum (formerly Gfi) will continue their overall management of this leading company’s production software until 2024. Engaged for the past 10 years in a relationship of trust where reliability and stability are vital, Inetum manages all the IS infrastructures at Chantiers de l’Atlantique that are indispensable to the latter’s core business: the design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning of vessels and marine installations. With this renewed trust, Inetum will continue to let the company benefit from its expertise in digital flow to adapt to ongoing change and make digital solutions a driver for economic and human performance and the development of industrial production as it strides towards the future.

A unique partnership for a bespoke approach

Besides the need to be able to provide service continuity in all circumstances to meet production challenges, the advantage of Inetum’s approach is that it combines local presence with a team of consultants based in Saint Nazaire, and operational coordination with nearby resources in the Inetum service centre in Chapelle-sur-Erdre. People who can keep an eye on the client’s activities and needs for expertise. This is in line with the notion of providing global support while remaining close to the client, which is part of Inetum’s DNA.

The partnership also illustrates Inetum’s capacity to work with all economic players regardless of size.

A long-standing commitment built on trust

Inetum CEO Vincent Rouaix says, “We are very proud of having contributed since 2010 to the growth of one of the world leaders in marine construction that forms part of France’s industrial prestige. Our strategy of countrywide presence that brings us close to our clients today means that we can count on 1,700 Inetum experts in the Grand-Ouest region of France. This new period of collaboration that we are starting with Chantiers de l’Atlantique is a tribute to the teams’ work over the past 10 years, confirming our capacity to support organisations in the long term, and demonstrates our positioning of Positive digital flow.”

“Our satisfaction with Inetum’s support over the past 10 years makes us glad to renew our trust in them. To reach our level of performance, we rely on sustainable partners capable of deploying a strong capacity to adapt, in an approach of continuous improvement. Inetum has been a steady partner, particularly in 2020 with the new demands brought by Covid-19, and will be able to continue growing to support us in our future challenges,” according to Laurent Castaing, CEO of Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
