After receiving the approval of all the relevant competition authorities, Gfi announces the closing of the agreement to acquire Informática El Corte Inglés (IECISA).

The Gfi Group enters a new strategic phase with the integration of the Spanish company Informática El Corte Inglés (IECISA) to create a new European technology group and strengthen its position in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
Gfi, after having received the approval of all the relevant competition authorities, has announced the closing of the agreement to acquire Informática El Corte Inglés (IECISA). This transaction with IECISA, a subsidiary of the retail sector giant El Corte Inglés, represents a new key stage in Gfi’s global growth strategy.
According to Vincent Rouaix , CEO of the Gfi Group, "the acquisition of this strategic asset, amid the current health crisis, confirms the relevance and complementarity of our own business in terms of skills and knowledge. After a decade of organic growth and successive acquisitions, culminating in this transaction, Gfi has now reached a new dimension. The Group thus strengthens its position among the main technology consulting companies in Europe, Africa and Latin America, with a consolidated turnover of 2.3 billion euros in 2019 (pro-forma), of which 60% will be generated outside of France. With more than 27,000 employees in 26 countries, Gfi confirms its strategic focus on expansion. Gfi is preparing to hire 4,000 people around the world in 2020.

All the experience, services and solutions that IECISA has developed will become part of Gfi's aggregate portfolio and can be deployed anywhere the Group is present. The acquisition of IECISA will expand the Group's solutions and consulting offering by strengthening its digital systems integration offering in sectors such as retail, transportation, government and public services, smart cities, banking, insurance and healthcare.

IECISA also contributes its multisectoral experience in other key areas such as Industry 4.0, Cybersecurity, Smart Workplace and ERP (SAP), with the common objective of advising and supporting companies in their digital transformation.
This new integrated entity, which completes Gfi's Boost2020 development program, takes the Group into a new phase.
