Press release

Release date :

Inetum has been selected because of its strong expertise to modernize the information system of the Pensions and Occupational Risks Department (SPRP) of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. The ESPRIT project aims to improve the management of disability pensions. Inetum has developed a methodology based on agility at scale with the SAFe framework.

Inetum, European leader in digital services and solutions, announces that it has won the “ESPRIT” contract, a major project initiated by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. This strategic partnership aims to overhaul part of the information system of the SPRP, involving the modernization of applications dedicated to the management of disability pensions for some 65,000 civilian employees of the Ministry.

Normann Hodara, Managing Director of Inetum France: “We are extremely proud to be working with the French Ministry of the Armed Forces on this crucial project. The SPRP information system will have a significant impact on the processing of disability pensions. We are honored to be able to contribute to improving the lives of the Ministry's pensioners. This project illustrates our commitment to providing innovative solutions that make a difference and translate into a significant digital impact.”

Emmanuel Briand, Project Director of the Pensions and Occupational Risks Department: “Inetum's method and ability to support us locally were key factors in our choice of service provider. We were looking for a player capable of making a local commitment to meet our transformation challenges over the long term. Inetum met these criteria perfectly in building the new disability pension management system. We are confident in Inetum's ability to successfully modernize our information system for the benefit of our pensioners."

The “ESPRIT” project involves overhauling all the business and cross-functional modules contributing to the existing civil disability value chain at SPRP. Inetum has extensive expertise in implementing this type of complex project, with proven experience from a similar assignment previously carried out for a social protection player. To this end, Inetum France has developed a methodology based on agility at scale, using the SAFe framework.

Scheduled to last 36 months, the project comprises of a specific IS development phase, followed by a transferability phase. In order to manage the operation in the best possible way, Inetum put together a tailor-made offer, including a local implementation team at the La Rochelle site, working closely with the SPRP's technical and business teams, with support from the ESN's Niort and Nantes agencies throughout the development phase.
