The Inetum Chair in IT Business and Digitalization, with its permanent vocation of contact with the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and its firm commitment to involvement in training activities, knowledge generation and promotion of talent, aims to bridge the gap between academic training and development of professional skills. With this purpose, through the Chair, programs, seminars and specific conferences are developed at the School of Computer Engineering that allow students to access the professional certifications most in demand by technology companies (Agile, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Java Development, Blockchain) while at the same time allowing them to learn about the professional development of their knowledge.

For the rector of the UPM, Guillermo Cisneros, the renewal of this agreement means "the ratification of the mutual trust that has existed for many years between both entities". "In addition, "given the multidisciplinary nature of both Inetum and the UPM, our students will continue to complement their academic training and boost their professional development through participation in joint projects carried out by this university-industry chair".

Inetum's Training Area in Spain promotes through the Inetum - UPM Chair actions that, in addition to preparing future engineers, allow them to channel their concerns towards professional development. According to Lucrecia García, Head of HR at Inetum in Iberia & Latam, "at Inetum we are concerned about people and we seek to develop talent, so we also want students to be introduced to the most sought-after technologies by professionals from the company, thus complementing their academic training".

The agreement also confirms Inetum's commitment to EELISA (European Engineering Learning lnnovation and Science Alliance), a project led by the Polytechnic University of Madrid that belongs to the "European Universities" initiative promoted by the EC, with the aim of implementing a common model of European engineer imbricated in society, capable of providing sustainable solutions to major social challenges.

The Inetum Chair of IT Business and Digitalization has a space in the Montegancedo Campus, a forum to promote the exchange of knowledge among the students of the School, as well as with experts from the technology consulting firm.
