Inetum receives the Equality Seal for its outstanding commitment to gender equality in the workplace.
Madrid, June 17, 2024.- In an event presided over by Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, Inetum has been awarded the Equality Seal for its remarkable commitment and contribution to promoting gender equality in the workplace through the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and results of measures contained in its equality plans and policies.
Inetum is one of the five technology companies that have received this distinction, out of the 168 companies that have been awarded the seal. The recognition from the Ministry of Equality highlights the effective implementation of equality measures and Inetum's leadership in addressing the challenges of the gender gap in the technology sector, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Spanish Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, emphasized during the official award ceremony the importance of increasing the number of companies with this seal: "Without entities committed to real equality, we cannot progress as a society or as a country," added Ana Redondo.
Inetum has focused its efforts on promoting STEM vocations among girls from primary to higher education. Additionally, the company is implementing a comprehensive women's empowerment program and will launch a pilot mentoring program for women in 2024.
Bruno da Sola, Global Director of People at Inetum, who was present at the ceremony, highlights that "with these initiatives, Inetum reinforces its commitment to gender equality and its leadership in addressing the challenges faced by the technology and digital services sector in reducing the gender gap."
Mónica Herrero, Director of People at Inetum Iberia Latam, who received the seal from the minister, emphasized that "equality, inclusion, diversity, talent, and social responsibility are pillars at Inetum, as is our firm and solid commitment to equal opportunities, reflected in the Equality Plan and the actions, initiatives, and policies we implement in the company."
This distinction granted by the Institute of Women recognizes companies that have carried out outstanding work in implementing equality plans and developing measures or policies for gender equality in the workplace. Entities with the "Equality in the Company" seal join the Network of Companies with the "Equality in the Company" distinction (DIE Network), a forum aimed at exchanging experiences and best practices in terms of equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in the workplace, as well as promoting them in society at large.
