Mission

We are looking for you as an ICT system specialist for IT systems and platforms in the integration environment. In a small agile team of three to five employees, you will share responsibility for ensuring the operation of VMware ESX, VDI, middleware, backup solutions, and operating systems. You will work closely with architects and project managers and have direct contact with the customer as well as subcontractors.

Tasks

  • Participation in projects as an expert for VMware ESX, VDI, middleware, and operating systems
  • Collaboration on maintenance and support tasks (with a focus on incident and problem management)
  • Creation of specifications
  • Responsibility and participation in integration tests (at the customer site)
  • Change management including planning and implementation of release upgrades
  • Participation in incident and problem management (including on-call duty)

Profile

  • At least 1 year of experience as an ICT system specialist
  • Middleware (WebSphere, Tomcat, ...)
  • Unix operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, SuSe, ...)
  • Scripting languages (Perl, Shell, ...)
  • Virtualization (VMware, ESX, VDI)
  • Source code and configuration management systems (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge and experience with the following are advantageous:
    • Virtualization platforms (VMware Cloud Foundation)
    • Cloud platforms (OCI, Azure)
    • Oracle DB
    • Relational databases
    • Telecommunications, IP networks
    • Methodologies such as Scrum, OKR, ITIL, DevOps
  • Language skills: German and English
